A five-storey residential building in Sofia, Bulgaria. 

GDK Team made the structural design of this 5-storey reinforced concrete structure.

SUMMARY:

Reinforced concrete structure, with 5  levels of residential apartments and a total area of approximately 1,300 sq. m.

Situated in a highly seismic region, the structure was designed in accordance with the latest standards regarding seismic stability and analysis. (EuroCode System). The entire building is designed as beamless slab structure, supported on shear walls and columns, going down to the very bottom of the building.

Lateral stiffness is chosen to comply to all requirements and to guarantee a safe lifespan of the structure.

A slab-on-grade is chosen as a foundations system, with stiff perimeter walls.

Excavation works are designed with slope support systems, adequate to the examined geotechnical properties of the soil. 

Construction works are planned to start in 2022.
